Advertising banners on your website and other websites provide a way to generate traffic and branding exposure for a product or service. I am amazed each time I hear from someone that says banners don’t work. In many cases the banner does not have any call to action. There are no noticeable benefits unless the person tells the consumer they saw their ad. There should be some form of tracking or metrics in place so the advertiser can see results from the advertisement. If the desire is traffic to a website, give them a reason to click and tell them to click! Most advertisers don’t have unlimited advertising budgets, so make the most of what you spend!
